Magyar said Palladino wanted to repair bilateral relations that had soured under the previous Democratic administration. He underscored the importance of Palladino’s approach to Hungarian affairs.

Magyar added that at the meeting, which was also attended by Péter Sztáray, the state secretary for security policy and energy security, he and Palladino agreed that restoring peace in Ukraine was the most important consideration and that the US would work with Hungary in the international arena to achieve this.

Commenting on the meeting, Palladino said:

“Last week, I joined Secretary of State Marco Rubio meeting Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó. Today, I met Deputy Foreign Minister Levente Magyar to reaffirm the U.S. commitment to ending the war in Ukraine and strengthening defense and energy security cooperation with Hungary. I look forward to building on this strong foundation.”

As we wrote a few days earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump is considering a significant shift in American military strategy in Europe. According to the Daily Telegraph, Trump plans to withdraw 35,000 troops from Germany and potentially relocate some of them to Hungary, details HERE.

  1. No one could be as bad as Pressman. He was a spiteful individual. He should never be allowed to put his foot on Hungarian soil.
