Number of asylum-seekers in Hungary down
Budapest, July 22 (MTI) – The number of migrants seeking asylum in Hungary is decreasing, daily Magyar Nemzet reported on Friday.
According to the paper, 1,300 migrants are present in the country, some 600 in open facilities and 700 in detention.
The paper named stricter entry regulations along the southern border and continuous “seeping” emigration to the west as the causes for the downward tendency.
Magyar Nemzet also noted that on the Serbian side of the border hundreds of migrants are awaiting entry into Hungary through the transit zones.
