On the 26th to 28th April 2019, the city of Debrecen will have its first MUN event organised by students, for students.

The Secretariat of Debrecen Model United Nations (DebMUN) is proud to announce that, on the 26th to the 28th of April 2019, Debrecen will hold its first MUN organised by students, for students.

The event aims to engage delegates in 3 days of debate, to reach hypothetical solutions for some of the world’s most pressing international issues. This not only provides an opportunity to collaborate with others, but allows them to develop their skills in public speaking, negotiating and presenting ideas in a structured manner.

Throughout the conference, delegates representing different countries of the United Nations will debate issues within their committee.

The range of committees, including the General Assembly, Security Council, Human Rights Council and World Health Organisation, provides students with a chance to focus on their specific area of interest, the event will also include social events where participants will get to meet people from other cities and other facilities.

The secretariat looks forward to welcoming delegates to DebMUN.
