Orban, mayor sign HUF 120 bn development project for Kaposvar
Budapest, October 9 (MTI) – A development project worth over 120 billion forints (EUR 385.6m) is the centre piece of a deal signed between the prime minister and the mayor of Kaposvar city as party of Hungary’s Modern Cities programme.
Viktor Orban, on his visit to the city located south of Lake Balaton in south-western Hungary, told a joint press conference on Friday that the project included expanding major road 67 into a four-lane highway, thereby connecting Kaposvar to the country’s motorway network by 2019.
Other developments include creating a transport hub, renovating the local theatre as well as building a sports hall, swimming pool and public utilities developments.
