Orbán is optimistic: Results of Hungary–US negotiations to be felt within 6 months

The outcome of ongoing Hungarian-American negotiations will be felt within half a year, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in a video uploaded to his Facebook page on Saturday.
The clip shared on the prime minister’s social media features an excerpt from an interview with journalist András Hont, which aired Thursday evening on the Öt YouTube channel. In the discussion, the Hungarian PM commented on the global tariff war, stating: “This is something where we know how it starts, and I believe we know how it ends. What happens in between doesn’t matter,” he added.
The prime minister emphasised that former U.S. President Donald Trump aims to renegotiate tariff rules with every country the United States runs a trade deficit with, always seeking to improve America’s position. “That’s how it will end,” Orbán said.
Regarding Hungary, the prime minister explained that the two countries are negotiating economic matters that could be advantageous for Hungary.
“Tariffs may pose a disadvantage, but we are discussing other types of economic agreements that will compensate for this,” he said.

Yes Victor, the check’s in the mail. Neither you or Trump ever tell the truth, ever!
Another idiot who does not understand the implications of tariffs. Hungary doesn’t export much directly to the USA, however most of it’s exports go into other EU countries, so they will be affected by the 35% tariff on cars.
Also Trump cannot be trusted not to change his mind at the flick of a switch.
Hungary – will pay a HEFTY price.
