Paramedic helps Hungarian woman give birth in a public park
A woman gave birth in a public park in Sátoraljaújhely. She was extremely lucky, as a paramedic was on his way to work when he heard their desperate screams for help. Talking about being in the right place at the right time.
The Hungarian National Ambulance Services shared a unique case on its Facebook page on Monday.
A paramedic was on his way to work when he noticed a couple in despair in the nearby park. The desperate couple was shouting for help because the woman started going into labour.
Everything happened so fast that there was no chance for them to get to the nearest hospital in time. She was in labour on a park bench when the paramedic arrived.
Luckily, the experienced paramedic immediately knew what to do. He called an ambulance, then started to help the childbirth.
Everything went by the textbook when suddenly there was a complication. One of the newborn’s arms got stuck in the birth canal. Luckily, the paramedic remained calm and used a special manoeuvre to release the baby’s arm.
The birth continued smoothly afterwards, and the baby was born. The ambulance arrived, and mother and baby were transferred to the hospital in stable condition.
