Numbers out: Passengers flock to Budapest Airport
Passenger traffic at Liszt Ferenc International Airport (Budapest Airport) increased by 20 percent to 14.6 million in 2023, reaching 91 percent of the traffic in the record year 2019, the Central Statistical Office said on Monday evening.
The number of European passengers at the airport was up by 17.4 percent at 12.8 million, compared with 2022. Asian passenger numbers were up by 48 percent at 1.6 million, and cargo traffic went up by 6.7 percent at 142,762 tonnes.
