On Margaret Island in the heart of Budapest, a new attraction was opened. It is called Lumina Park which takes you on a magical journey. If you would like to experience fables in the real world, then make sure to check out the park. The Palatinus Aqua Park is now illuminated by the statues of countless different characters.

If you are wandering in the city at night and by some chance, you stumble upon the Palatinus Aqua Park, you will find an unexpected surprise. Instead of swimming, you can now be amazed by wonderful illuminated statues. Lumina Park is a new attraction that provides an audio-visual experience for those who walk through this fairy tale.

In previous years, the park could have been seen in four different Polish cities: Wroclaw, Poznan, Lublin and Bydgoszcz, Szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu reports. However, this year, it can be visited in Budapest, Vilnius and Prague. The park features the artworks of various artists with different techniques. Such as the “Dragon” or the “Flying air balloons” made by Jarosław Koziara, the “African masks” by Martha Mulawa or the “Indian masks” by Olena Glinka.

The distinct art style’s popularisation was started in 2021/2022. That was the first time when Lumina Park hosted the artworks of Marta Mulawa, the so-called “Spirits of the forest”. Since then, the organisers try to cooperate with more and more artists to include their works in the exhibition too. The main goal is to spread this new art form. Lumina Park is the best place to familiarise yourself with the works of the greatest artists of Europe.

You might wonder how can a new attraction like this can open amidst an energy crisis. Well, it uses the most modern and energy-efficient LED lighting, while all the electricity is produced by the solar panels of the aqua park.

Lumina Park is the perfect example of the growing interest towards light art. This art form brings the artworks alive and provides a much more vivid experience. It is especially popular among young people who frequently visit such exhibitions. In the modern age, technology seems to be the way to grab the interest of the younger generations. Exhibitions like the Lumina Park or the Light Art Museum in Budapest provide an opportunity for them to get to see what contemporary art can be about.
