The Hungarian hotel opened its door in 2021, and since then, it has been recognised as a world-famous interior design artwork by many renowned foreign architects and has established a strong position in the market in a short time. Originally, it was built during the Belle Epoque era, in 1902. The palace was developed under the patronage of Maria Klotild of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha to serve as the social hub of Budapest. The princess pictured the twin palaces to be standing proudly in the very heart of Budapest.

We have strived to create something memorable in terms of interior design. It is a pleasure to have a series of awards to back this up,” said Director Selim Ölmez to Lakáskultúra.hu.

The elegance of Belle Epoque and classic coffee culture returned to the heart of Budapest as Matild Café & Cabaret. The iconic coffeehouse brings back Budapest’s legacy, their site writes. Among others, they also serve coffee, breakfast, soups, main courses, and desserts in the Café. In the Cabaret, evening shows, dance performances and musical dinners take place. The events take guests back to the stars of Budapest’s glittering night sky every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It is no coincidence that the café won the Classic TopDesign 2022 in the category ‘The Café of the Year‘, together with ‘the Hotel of the Year in the Capital’ and ‘the Guest Room of the Year’ awards.

The entrance area is so glitzi you would never know what a great building it is for starters- you have a diamond and they put tinsel on it. The windows are so tinted it looks closed- it’s like someone wearing dark glasses and never get to see there eyes. The Parisi across is a remarkable job.
The city has done a great job with dead planters on both sides of streets- going on 5 years that I know of. I give them credit for keeping the trash out.
