Budapest, October 21 (MTI) – President Janos Ader will pay a visit to Bavaria on October 22-23 at the initiative of Hungarian organisations and institutions, the presidential office said in a statement.
On Thursday, the president will participate in a ceremony marking the 1956 revolution and freedom fight at the Munich consulate-general. He and Bavarian government representative Beata Merk will give speeches at the event.
On Friday, Ader will meet Horst Seehofer, Bavaria’s minister-president and chairman of the CSU.
The president will also meet Ferenc Krausz, director of the Max Planck institute of quantum optics. Among other events on his itinerary, he will pay a visit to the Munich headquarters of German auto maker BMW.
First Lady Anita Herczegh will accompany the president on his visit.
