Queen Elizabeth II will describe 2019 as “bumpy” in her Christmas message, according to excerpts released by Buckingham Palace.
“The path, of course, is not always smooth, and may at times this year have felt quite bumpy, but small steps can make a world of difference,” the queen says.
Britain went through a difficult year featuring lots of political drama and uncertainty concerning its delayed withdrawal from the European Union.

The pre-recorded message will be broadcast in Britain and the Commonwealth countries on Christmas Day.
