Researchers’ Night to offer record number of programmes in Hungary
A record number of over 2,600 programmes will be on offer across 51 cities nationwide on Researchers’ Night on Sept. 29, organisers told the press on Tuesday.
Hungary will offer the largest variety of programmes of the EU countries that have joined the European Commission’s initiative, Bela Kardon, the chief scientific officer of the Regional Centre for Information and Scientific Development (RCISD), said.
Fully 146 institutions will participate in the event nationwide, he added.
Researchers’ Night aims to draw young people to scientific research, Ericsson Hungary CEO Roland Jakab said.
Telco giant Ericsson will participate with its programmes centered on drone technology.
Participants can make, programme and compete with drones.
Programmes will also include a laser show and fireworks by the Zoltán Bay Applied Research Company. The company will also hold a presentation on oil-eating bacteria in Szeged, southern Hungary.
