Ricky Martin is coming to Budapest!
Concerning musical news, this has been a very exciting week so far. On Monday, it was announced that one of the most famous female rappers, Nicki Minaj is coming to Budapest next February, while yesterday another bomb was dropped: the king of Latin American music, Ricky Martin will be performing in the Budapest Arena on the 4th of September.
Ricky Martin has been on the rise for over two decades, and he still knows how to make his audience go crazy.
People will probably storm at the Budapest Arena to attend his concert.
According to hvg.hu, the singer grew up in a Roman Catholic family. He probably inherited his musical talent from his mother’s side of the family, while his grandfather – being a poet – inspired him to write his first songs. He starred in his first commercial at the age of 9 and then started his pop career as part of boy band Menudo at the age of 12.
Since then, he has sold over 70 million albums and is the proud owner of several Grammy, Latin Grammy, American Music, World Music, Billboard Music and MTV Music Video Awards.
The singer also works as an actor, among others, we can see him in the newest season of American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace. He is also a great supporter of charity work – in 2002; he founded the Ricky Martin Charity and the People for Children Charity as the ambassador of UNICEF.
His songs such as Livin’ la Vida Loca, Maria, She bangs, La Mordidita, Vente pa’ca and Fiebre are still staples at discos, parties. Like it or not, his ear-catching melodies simply make you want to dance.
Tickets go on sale on the 13th of June.
Do you really want it? Do you really want it? 😉
