Confindustria Ungheria, the British Chamber of Commerce Hungary (BCCH) and the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Hungary (CCI France Hongrie) are pleased to announce the “Executive Rugby Leadership Experience”, a joint initiative bringing the leadership principles of professional rugby to the business community in Hungary.
The event will take place on 24 September 2026 at the Novotel City & Budapest Congress Centre, and will host senior executives, CEOs and CFOs for an immersive leadership development programme built around the values and methodology of team sport. This is not a sports event: it is a structured learning experience exploring how the discipline, trust and resilience developed on the rugby field translate directly into business leadership.
Participants will be welcomed by the top management of Benetton Rugby, one of the most decorated clubs in Italian rugby, founded in 1932 in Treviso and competing in the United Rugby Championship, Europe’s premier cross-border league. The club’s delegation will include Antonio Pavanello, President and former captain of the Italian national team, Fabio Rigoletto, Marketing Manager, and coaches and former national team players Tommaso Benvenuti, Tommaso Iannone, Marco Lazzaroni and Ezio Galon.

The programme will open with registration and a networking lunch, followed by three leadership sessions dedicated respectively to leading from the front, supporting the team before the individual, and communicating clearly and effectively under pressure. Participants will then take part in an executive challenge, working in mixed teams on simple rugby-inspired activities requiring no prior relevant experience. The day will continue with a panel discussion moving “from the pitch to the boardroom”, a closing group reflection and photo, and will conclude with an executive networking dinner shared with the Benetton Rugby delegation.
Participation is limited to 50 executives, with a fee of 250 euro plus VAT. The event is supported by the Budapest Congress Centre as main sponsor, and by Flame Spray, Ilinox Hungary Kft and UniCredit Bank as supporting sponsors.
