Speaker of Parliament: Hungary-Chile relations enter new era
Budapest, January 15 (MTI) – Relations between Hungary and Chile are forming nicely and entering into a new era with the opening of a Hungarian embassy in Santiago, Speaker of Parliament Laszlo Kover said on Wednesday.
Kover, meeting his counterpart Edmundo Eluchans Urenda, noted that Chile was a very important country in Latin America, and it was worth learning from it, given its economic indicators are now on a par with the “old” members of the European Union. Further, its political system is stable and political opponents are able to reach a consensus.
Urenda noted that Chile’s goal is to create excellent political relations with Hungary, which offers huge bilateral opportunities.
