2018 seems to be a quite successful year for Hungarian restaurants. Just recently, Avalon Ristorante from Miskolctapolca was announced to be the best Italian restaurant in Central Europe, winning two categories of the same World Luxury Restaurants Awards.

About the competition

The World Luxury Restaurant Awards aim to ignite a healthy competition within the Luxury Restaurant Industry. Restaurants compete in their chosen category, from a list of 84 categories. According to their website:

“The World Luxury Restaurant Awards aims to highlight special features of restaurants, thereby increasing competition globally and ultimately raising the level of food quality and the standards of service in the luxury restaurant industry.”
