Success! Hungarian game designer among Forbes’s 300 young talents
The U.S. Forbes Magazine collects disruptors and talented young people from every point of the world every year and ranks them in ten different categories, for example, Art & Culture, Finance, Media & Marketing, etc. This year this list features 300 young talents from thirty-four European and twenty-two non-European countries who are considered to be the future of the continent.
Nominated in the category of Sports & Games the 27-year-old Hungarian native Laura Kampis is the only Hungarian who made it into the list – reports Kafkadesk. She is a designer at Creative Assembly since 2016 which is a British video game developing company.
Her job is to serve as a campaign and designer for the Total War franchise which the most popular strategy game all over the world released in 2000. Besides Total War, she worked on several other remarkable video games as well, like Thrones of Britannia and Warhammer 2.
According to Forbes Magazine, she is also involved in other projects, for example, in young developer outreach programmes and she is also the representative of Creative Assembly at every designer event.
She studied at the Brunel University in London and did her degree in computer science and her master’s degree in digital games theory and design.
Her favourite video games are GTA V, World of Warcraft, Minecraft, Final Fantasy and Witcher 3. On her blog, she shares details and information about several video games with great enthusiasm and always provides her followers with ideas on what to play next.
