BOTANIQ Castle of Tura has received international tourism recognition for the second time this year. After receiving the Booking.com Traveller Review Awards for 2021 in January, it also won the Best European Castle Hotel 2021 award at the International Travel Awards 2021.
The International Travel Awards is one of the world’s most prestigious awards. It honours excellent performers in the tourism and travel industry around the world. This year, more than 3,000 nominees entered the competition from all over the world, and a total of 500 entrants made it to the finals.
The award categories were created to suit each and every business area in the tourism industry within each region. Thus, participants from more than a hundred countries can submit their nominations in categories such as “Best Spa Hotel”, “Best Family Resort”, “Best Experience Adventure Destination”, “Best Eco/Green Villa” or “Best Online Travel Agency”.
BOTANIQ Castle of Tura is located 50 kilometres from the capital. As a high-quality hotel and event venue, it occupies a prominent place in the region’s tourism, writes Roadster. The Neo-Renaissance-style castle was built in 1883, and it has undergone a complete renovation between 2016 and 2020.
“The architectural features of BOTANIQ recall the milieu of the Loire Valley castles. This ambiance combined with the 10-acre forest, park and lake surrounding the Castle, make BOTANIQ not only the perfect choice for recreations, yet as for the location of remarkable events as well,”
says the official website of the castle. The rooms are characterised by a comfortable, clean, and modern style. The balconies of each suite overlook the tall, historic trees of the castle garden. The nearly 400-square-metre spa area was inspired by the flowers and plants of the castle garden. It has a Finnish sauna, a steam room, a salt room, and heated outdoor and indoor pools.
The mesmerising Hungarian castle has won two awards this year: the Booking.com Traveller Review Awards for 2021 in January and the Best European Castle Hotel 2021 award at the International Travel Awards 2021 in the autumn.
“We are very pleased with the recognition, as the result not only reflects the decision of an international panel of renowned judges but also the opinion of our guests. This provides direct feedback to us,” said Zoltán Somlyai, Vice President of the Hotel Division of BDPST Group.
