Traffic changes significantly this weekend in Budapest’s downtown

Authorities closed the Chain Bridge and the Pest Lower Embankment between Eötvös Street and Jászai Mari Square from Friday midnight until Monday 4 AM. Apart from car traffic, even public transport will change, affecting the schedules of multiple buses.

According to Blikk, a Hungarian tabloid, authorities closed the Chain Bridge and a segment of the Pest Lower Embankment yesterday at midnight due to a film shooting. The Hungarian news outlet could not find out which production was the reason for the closure, but they wrote that both Hollywood superstars Keanu Reeves and Emilia Clarke were in Budapest.
