Warning: Traffic restrictions in Budapest today due to mass event
This year’s I Bike Budapest cycling event and parade will take place today, on Saturday 20 April, due to which there will be temporary traffic restrictions in Budapest in the afternoon, the Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK) said.
Traffic restrictions in Budapest today
According to information published on police.hu, sections of the following route will be closed from 3 to 8 PM for the cycling parade:
Soó Rezső promenade – Räde Károly promenade – Borbás Vince promenade – Üllői Road – Ferenc körút – Petőfi Bridge – Egyetemisták parkja – Egry József Street – Valdemar and Nina Langlet Quay – Raoul Wallenberg Quay – Friedrich Born Quay – Döbrentei Square – Attila Road – Alagút Street – Alagút (Castle Tunnel) – Clark Ádám Square – Széchenyi Chain Bridge – Széchenyi István Square – József Attila Street – Andrássy Avenue – Heroes’ Square – Olof Palme promenade – Zichy Mihály Road – Napozórét
The affected quays, Attila Street, Alagút Street, the Tunnel and the Chain Bridge will be temporarily closed along their entire width, Index quotes the BRFK as saying.
