Two Greek soccer players released from hospital
Budapest (MTI) – Two of three members of Greece’s national football team who were lightly injured in a traffic accident in Budapest earlier on Monday have been released from hospital, Nikolaos Vlahakis, the Greek press attache in Budapest, told MTI.
Fast-track road to airport reopened for traffic after fatal crash
The collision between a taxi and a car that occurred on Ferihegyi road connecting Budapest’s city centre and the international airport claimed one victim while several others were injured.
The three players, Vangelis Moras, Panagiotis Tachtsidis and Ioannis Fetfatsidis, were taken to Honved hospital for treatment after suffering injuries in the taxi. Moras and Tachtsidis have left hospital and are resting in a hotel. Fetfatsidis will be released later, Vlahakis said.
The Greek national eleven played a 0:0 draw with Hungary in a European Championship qualifier on Sunday.
