The ruling Fidesz-Christian Democrat (KDNP) parties would win 56 percent of the votes, while the united opposition would garner 34 percent if the elections were held this Sunday, the daily Magyar Nemzet said citing a recent poll by the Nézőpont Institute.
According to the representative poll conducted over the phone on a sample of 1,000 adults, the radical Mi Hazánk (Our Homeland) party would again pass the parliamentary threshold with 5 percent of the votes, and the Two-tailed dog party would win 3 percent, Nézőpont said.
Meanwhile, if the parties of the united opposition ran independently, only the Momentum Movement (6 percent) and the Democratic Coalition (5 percent) would make it to parliament, the pollster said. Jobbik would garner 3 percent, while the Socialists and LMP around one percent. Support for an independent Párbeszéd party is negligible, Nézőpont said.

Seems very believable to me considering the results of this months election. Hungarians do not want what the other parties were offering. The voters rejected adapting the open borders and mass migration agenda of the Soro’s and Brussels lapdogs. They do not want to adapt the Euro and they do not want to accept the agenda of the LGBTQ mandates of the European Union. I think it is time for the rejected politicians and the media to reflect upon why they were rejected and move on with their lives doing something actually productive like finding jobs in the private sector.
“Finding jobs in the Private Sector” – Peter.
Heaven help us, if that occured, with the lack of vision and competency, the vast majority, over to long a period of time, they have displayed to the citizens of Hungary, in there efforts to take Hungary – in a differant Political & Governed direction.
I may be a “Franchised” Fidesz supporter, not always agreeing with The Partys – Political Ideas & Philosophy- but the ticks certainly outway the crosses, in what I believe is the FUTURE for Hungary.
If – and time is running out – if it has not already – what Hungary needs – is a ROBUST opposition Party.
Robust oppositions – are a Health feeder to a country.
Presently – we have in Hungary – somewhat a one dimensional and un-challenged MAJOR Political Party – that by the results of the recent National Elections enjoy overwhelming respect and support of the Hungarian population.
Imagine if we had in Hungary – an Opposition Party that was – as follows :
(1) – Strong.
(2) – Healthy.
(3) – Vigorous.
(4)- Sturdy & Committed – Convincing – in its Policy Visions.
This is far removed from being “on the table” in the oppostion party set ups in Hungary at this point of time – which permits – RIGHTFULLY – the Fidesz Party – the mandate to Govern & Rule – to there Agenda.
FIDESZ gained more support after the election. This shows that the people of Hungary like the populous conservative Christian government.
In today’s world, we should not equate socialism with communism.
Socialist parties around the world have progressed away from, let’s just say, the communism of Lenin, Stalin and Kim Jong Un (I liken XI Jinping’s Chinese communism to be a hybrid of Stalin’s totalitarianism, and Janos Kádár’s “Goulash” communism).
It’s a sad-sad Hungary, when so many disenchanted politicians start their own parties after an election loss, and thereby creating so many choices for the voter that there is no effective-cohesive opposition (at all) to FiDeSZ. The voter is left with no real choice.
As a devout Christian, I genuinely feel sad, and disappointed to see the KDNP in bed with Pm Orban’s FiDeSZ.
…(Thinking about Ferenc.Gyurcsány’s Őszöd speech). Makes me wonder how the good people of Hungary would react if ever Pm Orban was to criticise his own FiDeSZ for misleading the masses and neglecting the middle and lower classes for the last 10 years or so. Would he blame George Soros for that too?
Today, in Hungary I see a very high core inflation rate of 9.1% (March) – a 21-year high. I see teachers/educators getting record low pay, I see doctors, nurses, medical professionals well underpaid. I see very high property rent rates.
I DON’T see any (significant) public housing projects (for those living bellow, or near, the poverty line). I see hospitals that are comparable to third-world countries.
Oh yes, I also see a record number of brand new glistening sporting arenas popping up neigh-on everywhere (to glorify it’s “father”), I see corruption and EU funds being diverted away from their intended recipients. I see no real independent judiciary. I see no free press and media. I see Pm Orban’s sole authority grow by the day. I see the rich get richer and the hard working ordinary Magyar get poorer.
Ah, but what do I see, I must be blind, for I do not see what 66 per cent of Magyar voters see. 🙁 :'(
Yes, it is unbelievable…………
Today’s socialism is equal to Marxism. Socialism is an anti capitalist system. It is the capitalism that allows a decent standard of living in the US, Canada, and other western countries.
