Police raised charges against a 38-year-old Hungarian national who stabbed a Ukrainian man with a shard of a beer bottle in Budapest. The gruesome attack happened last May in the capital’s emblematic Örs vezér Square, a crucial transport and traffic hub. Below you may check out the footage of the nearly fatal incident that a nearby CCTV recorded.

According to 24.hu, a 38-year-old Hungarian national attacked a Ukrainian national in Budapest’s Örs vezér Square last May for no apparent reason. Based on the information provided by the public prosecutor’s office of Budapest, the Hungarian national was under the influence of alcohol. He broke the neck of a bottle for no reason and then proceeded to stab the Ukrainian man in the neck.

Thankfully, he failed to insert enough power, so he did not kill his victim. However, the plaintiff suffered injuries healing beyond eight days. Authorities expect the court to sentence the perpetrator to jail as the result of the attack could have been way more severe.

Below you may watch the video on the horrific event. Attention! Viewer discretion is advised.
