Warranty Terms Are Being Modified
From now on, it is no longer possible to hand customers warranty tickets with faded text, builders and renewers will also have distinct terms from the unified 3 years guarantee- MTI informs. According to the latest edict, consumer products continue to have a year long guarantee further on, which expires after a year, divany.hu reports.
Manufacturers might order that certain purchased products shall be put into operation by a professional. These are usually the kind of products that typically require a professional’s help, e.g. gas-ovens or air conditioners. Operating with new refrigerators or hair dryers will surely not require assistance.
The edict highlights that the warranty ticket shall remain well readable to its expiration. This rule is explained by the fact that blocks printed on cheaper paper types fade easily within a few months. If the customer cannot show the warranty ticket, but they possess the bill, the warranty can be validated. An exception to this is handling in a bill printed on a cheaper type of paper used in most shops.
The warranty ticket should indicate which concilation boards might the customer turn to in the case of a judicial combat. This stands in an occassion when the customer is no longer able to validate their warranty claim or they feel that the shop assistant did not handle their complaint well.
Apartment warranties will be changed, too. Gutters, fireplaces and boilers will have 3 year long warranties further on, while roofing materials, separating-walls, doors and windows 5; and basements, load bearing walls and chimneys will have 10 year long warranties.
