Wizzair Rome flight makes unscheduled landing in Budapest
A Wizzair plane flying from Cluj-Napoca to Rome made an unscheduled landing at Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc International Airport on Sunday due to an unspecified technical failure.
Mihály Hardy, the head of communications at Budapest Airport, told MTI that the aircraft was forced to land in Budapest for technical reasons.
Wizzair said that
W6 3385 Cluj-Napoca – Rome-Ciampino flight had landed in Budapest due to “irregular technical maintenance” that had to be carried out on the aircraft.
To minimise delays, the flight continued with another Wizzair plane to Rome. The airline apologised for the inconvenience to passengers, adding that, “the safety of our passengers, crew and aircraft is of utmost importance to us.”
As we wrote ten days ago, a passenger started a vicious fight onboard the Basel-Budapest flight on Monday, 1 October. According to one of the passengers, even the captain had to intervene, read more HERE.
