First evacuation flight from Jordan on its way home
The first evacuation flight from Jordan has departed for Hungary, transporting Hungarian citizens who were stranded in the Middle East due to the war, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said on Facebook on Wednesday.
“Our first evacuation flight is on its way home from Amman, bringing home 83 Hungarian citizens stranded in Israel and Jordan,” Szijjártó said said in a ministry statement.

“Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, we will bring home Hungarians leaving Israel — which is completely closed to air traffic — from Amman and then from Sharm el-Sheikh, where they had travelled on land, while preparing new evacuation flights from countries where flying is permitted and safe,” he added.
