The flower carnival of Debrecen is one of the most beloved festivities of Hungarians and foreigners alike. The carnival is also the major tourist attraction of the city of Debrecen, which is worth visiting due to many other reasons as well.

This year’s flower carnival in Debrecen started on 14 August and lasted until the 21st of August.
This year is special because the carnival usually ends on the 20th, but it lasts a day longer this year.
As we have reported earlier, several Hungarian and foreign performers were invited this year to make the week-long event unforgettable.
The flower carnival of Debrecen is the biggest parade in the whole country, the festivities last for an entire week with performers coming from all over the country and from abroad.
This year, as always, the highlight of the event was the parade on the 20th of August, when vehicles were carrying the gigantic flower compositions (made out of hundreds of thousands of od flowers) through the city.
