Election 2018: Opposition parties unable to cooperate betray voters
The opposition parties that are unable to cooperate with one another are betraying voters, Gergely Karácsony, the joint prime minister-candidate of the Socialist and Párbeszéd parties, told public radio on Thursday, referring to Együtt’s unwillingness to support his candidacy.
While the majority of voters still want a change in government after next year’s general election, the parties campaigning for it are losing support, he said.
In reply to a question, Karácsony said he had always spoken about a joint list but “one can only cooperate with those who are open to that.”
He added that “should anyone find a PM candidate who is able to form a broader coalition, I would gladly support them.”
