CNN: Hungary’s Hortobágy National Park is one of Europe’s most beautiful places
The essence of Hungary, our very own Hortobágy National Park is featured among such famous European places like the Adelboden of Switzerland or the Union Hall of Ireland.
CNN Travel recently published a list containing what they believe are the most beautiful places in Europe. The article was published on the 4th of October, written by Joe Minihane. The list is accompanied by a gallery filled with breath-taking photos of the chosen places presented in the article.
Joe Minihane emphasized the following information about Hortobágy in his article:
“UNESCO-protected since 1999, Hungary’s first national park sits on the Great Plain, covering a massive 800 square kilometers. Famous for its Nine Hole Bridge, the park is home to water buffalo, cranes and great bustards. Stargazing here is particularly good due to its low human population and lack of light pollution, with the area designated an International Dark Sky Park.”
Joe Minihane does travel writing for other world-famous newspapers like The Independent and also for the travel guide book publisher; Lonely Planet. He is also an author; his book Floating: A Return to Waterlog is available for purchase on Amazon (Kindle edition).
