Brasilia will host the 2019 World University Games; Budapest Withdraws

Brasilia, Brazil will host the 2019 World University Games, FISU announced yesterday.

Brasilia was the only remaining candidate for the event; Baku first withdrew in October, and then Budapest withdrew to focus on their hosting of the 2012 FINA World Championships (though they say they plan to re-bid after the completion of that event).

They also announced officially that Krasnoyarsk, Russia will host the 2019 Winter Universiade. Krasnoyarsk was the only remaining bidder.
