Budapest, May 23 (MTI) – The Central Statistics Office (KSH) has passed its European audit with high marks, KSH president Gabriella Vukovich said on Monday.

A three-member team from the European Commission audited KSH’s operations a year ago and found that the office complies with the requirements of the European Statistical System.

The audit found that KSH operates independently and impartially, is committed to objectivity and is ready to employ European standards in its work. But at the same time the team of auditors also made 17 recommendations, calling for a more user-oriented approach among other possible improvements.
