BudapestGO: ticketing still not working on the app, but there is a solution

BudapestGO, the app of the Budapest Transport Centre (BKK), is not working.

A new message has been published suggesting that passengers use paper tickets until the problem is fixed:

“The mobile ticket service is not available. The mobile ticket service in BudapestGO and other mobile ticket apps is currently suspended. It is not possible to buy a new ticket or season ticket, and previously purchased products cannot be used. We recommend that you travel with a paper ticket during this time. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

Both MÁV and BKK ticket counters are flexible in handling the situation, accepting old, expired tickets and season tickets for presentation, VG.hu reports.
