Portfólió reported that the Hungarian businessman does not understand why Hungary fails to do more tests because it is now the most effective way of protecting others. According to him, the precise danger of the epidemic is hard to estimate in Hungary and all across the world in other countries as well. The statistics are different and difficult to combine as countries measure the number of infections, deaths, and registered tests differently.

Duda said that the restrictions were inevitable and should stay in place until the danger is over. He added that stricter restrictions would be better, but their effect on the economy would be fatal. The Hungarian Government did the right thing in time, but the businessman simply cannot understand why Hungary is not taking testing more seriously.

Duda added that he expected a pandemic when the virus appeared in China. Medicine and medicine production is the best on the European continent, and Hungary also has excellent laboratories and biotechnology companies where promising and effective drugs are being tested to cure the coronavirus. The company called Solvo tests other companies’ materials and decides which one to use for further laboratory examinations. Many similar tests are in progress all over the world, and the results are still months away.

The most effective cure would be the vaccine, but even the most optimistic predictions say that one year is necessary to create and produce it. Duda hopes that until that moment, the leaders of the world will be careful and only ease the restrictions if they are sure it would not have any drawbacks.

The Hungarian businessman hopes that the value of medicine, healthcare workers, and laboratories will increase due to the pandemic, although he emphasised that these people deserve appreciation not only during a pandemic but every day.
