Young man fell from a theatre in Budapest – VIDEO

On Saturday, in the late evening hours, a young man climbed up the façade of a Budapest theatre and, unfortunately, fell.

People climbing up different buildings and then falling or maybe jumping off is not such a unique thing in Budapest. Less than three months ago, a man fell into the Danube from the Petőfi Bridge. It was not clear whether he simply fell over the security handrail or climbed voluntarily as a suicide attempt. The video shows that he did indeed climb and then fall over. He may have dropped his phone into the river and wanted to act quickly. Nevertheless, he was saved relatively fast by the Coast Guards, as they were just in the bridge’s proximity.

Suicide or accident? Hungarian falls into Danube

This time, our victim, unfortunately, suffered severe injuries. According to people sitting opposite the Vígszínház (Theatre of Comedy) in a restaurant,

a young man wearing a backpack held on with both hands to the façade of the theatre and was stepping very slowly along the wall.

He was standing on top of the upper frame/windowsill of a big window, from where he was trying to climb towards a bigger window.

A woman, who recorded the incident, told RTL Klub that they first spotted him sitting on top of the windowsill before starting the dangerous manoeuvre. He probably climbed off the roof, as the windows under him were closed.
