Event: Pianist Luka Okros in Budapest – March 22
Georgian pianist Luka Okros has graduated from the London Royal College of Music (2016) and the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory (2013). He made Carnegie Hall debut at the age of 18, gave recitals at lots of famous venues and by now has performed in more than 30 countries.
During the last two years Luka has won eight 1st prizes at international piano competitions. Luka has had the honour of being interviewed and broadcasted by BBC Radio 3, France Musique, NPO 4, Radio Vltava, Hong Kong Radio 4 and Georgian Radio 1.

Luka Okros has established himself as one of the most promising pianists of his generation.
Okros’s performances have been praised by critics as “intense, strong and natural, with an impressive creativity”. Lang Lang said earlier about his performance of Liszt’s infamous Hungarian Rhapsody: “In such a technical work he does not deprive musicality. This is a rarity!”. With eight first prizes on top international piano competitions and performances in more than thirty countries, Luka Okros continues his European concert tour, he will give a recital at the Liszt Academy. London-based Georgian pianist will present all four of Chopin’s Ballades, followed by Liszt’s intensely dramatic Sonata in B minor.
