Four Francois Fiedler artworks in Budapest
Four Francois Fiedler artworks will be presented to the press on the 4th of August, 2016 at the Hungarian National Museum by the director, Benedek Varga.
Three of the artworks were made in honour of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. The fourth is a litography “In Memory of the Revolution – Baroque” made in 1958.
Francois Fiedler is an important member of School of Paris since 1950s, close friend of Chagall, Miró, Braque. His works have been regularly exhibited together with the mentioned painters worldwide.
The main purpose of the “Codes/Signals/Images The Secret Art of The Revolution ’56 exhibiton is to reveal and show those artworks which were influenced by the ’56 revolution and which were hidden for decades by the artists or their relatives.
The exhibition can be visited till 13 November, 2016.
