Getting worse: Hungary reports latest COVID-19 numbers – October 18, 2021
Fifty-one patients died of a Covid-related illness over the weekend, while 3,274 new coronavirus infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Monday.
So far 5,924,063 people have received a first jab, while 5,700,021 have been fully vaccinated. Fully 997,000 Hungarians have received a booster jab.
The number of active infections stands at 13,989, while
hospitals are treating 908 Covid patients, 126 of whom need respiratory assistance.
Since the first outbreak, 836,389 infections have been registered, while
fatalities have risen to 30,402.
Fully 791,998 people have made a recovery.
There are 9,262 people in official quarantine, while 7,172,353 tests have been officially carried out.
