Berlin (MTI) – The Visegrád Group and Bavaria share the same views about the European Union and agree that there are no problems with its basic values or the bloc’s concept but with Brussels’ inability to make decisions, foreign ministry state secretary Lászlo Szabó said on Thursday.
Szabó told MTI by phone after attending a conference by the Hanns Seidel Foundation and the V4 countries (Czech Rep, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia) in Munich that the participants were in agreement that “greater determination” is needed by Brussels and there should be a return to applying the EU’s common regulations.
Former Bavarian Prime Minister Guenther Beckstein said Bavaria was grateful to Hungary and the V4 group for their efforts to stop illegal migration. Szabó added.
