Hollywood star visited a special Budapest restaurant, another will give a concert in August
Hollywood star Keanu Reeves walked into a Budapest Mexican restaurant and, according to the photo they shared, loved the food he was served there. He is in Budapest because of the shooting of his newest film. Meanwhile, another Hollywood star, Will Smith, announced he is coming to Budapest in August to perform a concert.
Keanu Reeves praised the Budapest Mexican restaurant
According to hvg.hu, Keanu Reeves is in Budapest due to the shooting of his newest film, Ruben Östlund’s “The entertainment system is down”. Östlund was spotted in February in Budapest’s Katona József Theatre, watching the theatrical adaptation of his new movie. There was talk in the movie industry about how much the Hungarian crew liked Reeves because he was nice and down-to-earth.
Reeves visited one of Budapest’s Mexican restaurants, the Casa Mexa, located in the downtown, the 7th district’s Síp Street. Of course, the restaurant crew and the Hollywood star took a photo together in which you can see Reeves bearded.

Will Smith comes to Budapest again
Another good news is that Will Smith will also come to Hungary to give a concert on 14 August in the framework of his “Based on a True Story” summer tour. The Grammy-awarded singer and actor will step on stage in Budapest Park and will perform the songs of his newest album, among others, “First Love”, “Beautiful Scars”, “TANTRUM”, “Work of Art”, and “You Can Make It”. Several valued artists perform on the album like DJ Jazzy Jeff, Teyana Taylor and Jac Ross, Blikk wrote.
Will Smith has been to Budapest several times. He shot his film Gemini Man here and danced on the top of the Chain Bridge in a memorable video in 2018. Later, he returned to Budapest to promote his film and give a concert.
He told the Hungarian press about Budapest that “this city is like a secret jewel – beautiful and powerful! It is a wonderful mix of its thousand-year-long history and the modern spirit that pulsates in it nowadays.”
