Although the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix takes place at the Hungaroring, fans can also attend numerous related events in the capital. Most of these are free, but since it’s hard to keep track of them all, we’ve put together an overview of these events.

Formula 1 Cars in Budapest
Numerous so-called show cars and replicas are on display in the Hungarian capital, and there’s even a life-size LEGO model to see. What’s more, almost every one of these exhibitions is accompanied by exciting programs and attractions, each of which guarantees a unique atmosphere for visitors.
Audi R26 Show Car – Széllkapu-Millenáris Park
This year, Audi became the latest automaker to join the Formula 1 grid. Anyone who wants to see the German brand’s show car with their own eyes should visit Millenáris. In addition to the Audi Revolut F1® Team R26 show car, visitors can also view the new Audi RS 5 and the new Audi Q3. Both are manufactured at the Audi Hungaria plant in Győr. Even an engine manufactured at the Győr plant will be on display as a special exhibit, and an Audi Pop-up Store will open on site, offering the official Audi Revolut F1® Team collection and exclusive Audi merchandise.
In addition, the Hungarian Grand Prix will be broadcast live at the Zsiráf in Buda as part of the Audi F1 Fanzone. The Saturday evening program is particularly worth checking out, featuring a roundtable discussion with Gergely Makai, the FIA’s official photographer, and Gábor Wéber, an M4 Sport commentator, during which audience members will also have the opportunity to ask questions.

BWT Alpine F1 Team – Time Out Market
If you’d like to see the Alpine F1 Team’s race car, visit the Time Out Market. But fans will find more than just the car on display there. There’s a BWT water bar and water tasting station, a themed photo wall with prizes, various exclusive offers, and you can even request laser engraving on BWT Climate Bottles, as well as purchase other BWT and BWT Alpine F1 Team fan merchandise.
You can also watch live TV broadcasts of the weekend’s F1 races here, so no one has to miss out on the excitement, and fan meet-and-greets will be held throughout the entire week of the Hungarian Grand Prix. On Tuesday, Formula 2 driver Gabriele Mini was in attendance, and on Thursday, a meet-and-greet was organized with Alpine’s two F1 drivers, Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto.

Life-Size LEGO F1 Ferrari – Alza Showroom
During the drivers’ parade at the 2025 Miami Grand Prix, LEGO’s massive creations were a huge hit; powered by electric motors, they reached speeds of up to 20 km/h. The model, which replicates a Ferrari F1 car, was built by a team of 26 people using nearly 400,000 pieces at LEGO’s factory in the Czech Republic. It is currently on display at Alza’s showroom in Hungary, where it will remain on display for quite some time. The exhibition runs through August 10, but there are plenty of other events to look forward to in the meantime.
Simulator races will be held, and during breaks, visitors are free to practice on the Logitech simulator and the Logitech G McLaren gaming seats. All of this takes place within the official F1 ’26 game, on the Hungaroring track. On July 25 and 26, as well as August 1 and 2, an administrator will be on site to record the results. It’s worth giving it a try, because the winner will have the opportunity to participate in the Logitech G Race Days gaming event. The finals will take place in Barcelona in the fall of 2026. But that’s not all: Alza’s showroom features a unique exhibition showcasing models built from LEGO® sets specifically for this event, and there’s also a photo corner for kids.

Boxutca Experience Week – Westend
Similar events have been held in the past, but this year a replica of the Ferrari F1 car will once again be on display at Westend. Thanks to the Italian team’s partners, Peroni and Shell, visitors can view the car at the shopping center, where exciting activities await them throughout the week.
It’s definitely worth spending some time here this weekend, as visitors can participate in prize giveaways, a pit-stop competition, simulator and reflex games, and sample Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0%. There’s also the Shell V-Power zone, where technology takes center stage. One of the week’s most important events took place on Wednesday, featuring Antonio Giovinazzi, Ferrari’s current WEC driver and reserve driver for the F1 team.

Let’s cheer together in front of giant screens
Nothing can replace the experience of an F1 race weekend spent at the track, but not everyone has the opportunity to follow the events at the Hungaroring in person. That’s why you’ll be able to watch the free practice sessions, qualifying, and, of course, Sunday’s race on giant screens at several venues in and around Budapest. We’ve already mentioned Zsiráf Buda and Time Out Market, where this will be possible, but there are plenty of other options to choose from as well.
The Akvárium Klub, for example, is hosting an event called “F1 Terrace.” At this event, you can comfortably follow the action on the track from the terrace, and admission is free. The free practice sessions and the race of the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix will be broadcast on the giant LED screen on the terrace of Zsiráf Pest, as well as on the screen at Holdudvar on Margaret Island.
So if you’d like to watch the action on the track in good company, a great atmosphere, and on a huge screen, you have several options to choose from. But even if you’re planning such an outing exclusively for Sunday (perhaps extending into the evening), we still have a few suggestions for you. In Törökbálint, on the shores of Lake Nádas, the live broadcast will be available starting at 1:30 p.m., so no one will miss out on the buildup to the Hungarian Grand Prix. Throughout the day, you can try out the simulators, and the evening will conclude with special events. At 7:20 p.m., the Boda Family will take the stage, followed by a fantastic outdoor movie screening at 8:00 p.m. As part of the event, you can watch the Oscar-winning film *F1: The Movie*

Other Attractions
Numerous other events worth seeing await visitors, most of which are available exclusively during the Hungarian F1 Grand Prix weekend. These include events celebrating the 40-year history of the track and the race, as the Hungaroring opened its gates in 1986, and F1 made its first visit to Hungary that same year.
40 Years of the Hungaroring” Photo Exhibition – Széllkapu Park
This exhibition, one of the many exciting events taking place at Millenáris, opened in June but will only be on view through Sunday. Each of the photos on display captures the most important and iconic moments of the racetrack and the race. The exhibition is also a great opportunity to take a trip down memory lane, and it’s sure to get motorsports fans’ hearts racing.
F1 Installation and Flag Decorations
Recent years have proven that this definitely has its place during this time of year. The life-size F1 logo is located on Heroes’ Square and offers a fantastic opportunity to take stunning photos and selfies. Don’t miss the flags displayed at various locations throughout the city—on several of Budapest’s bridges and streets—all celebrating the Hungarian Grand Prix. Among others, the Erzsébet Bridge and the Margit Bridge have been decorated in this way. All of this will be on display until July 26.
Evening Light Show on Margaret Island
At the Musical Fountain on Margaret Island, a unique evening light show will be held several times leading up to the day of the Hungarian Grand Prix, paying special tribute to the race, which looks back on a 40-year history. The show begins every evening at 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. through Sunday, promising a pleasant, relaxing evening.
Hungaroring-themed sightseeing boat tour in Budapest
This program extends slightly beyond the race weekend, as MAHART Cruises Budapest’s uniquely painted boat will be on display through August 5. The boat’s design was inspired by the Hungaroring, and to further enhance the guests’ experience, they can also sample Hungarian Grand Prix-inspired cocktails during the Danube cruise.

LEGO x W Budapest Exhibition – W Budapest
The exhibition, which has opened in the courtyard of the W Budapest hotel, is open not only to hotel guests but also to the general public. A truly impressive LEGO installation has been set up here, allowing many people to view the exhibition organized as part of DESIGN EXCHANGE x LEGO®: F1® EDITION, which features iconic race cars and helmets made from LEGO bricks. The exhibition will remain open for a little while longer, so if you can’t make it this weekend, you can still check it out until July 31.

Hugo Racing Tour – Westend
Keep an eye out for the Hugo truck in front of Westend. The company remains a partner of the Racing Bulls team, and this time, together with Optic World, they’ve prepared plenty of surprises. Here you can try out the simulator—the best players can win prizes—and visitors can take part in a virtual eyewear fitting to find the model that suits them best. On Saturday night, a DJ and drinks await, there will be a photo booth, and of course, the Pit Stop challenge is a must.
