Nearly two thousand people attended the Hungarian Embassy’s open house in Washington, DC on Saturday as part of the traditional series of events marking Europe Day.

EU Open Day events are organised by European Union embassies in the US capital, showcasing their national characteristics and traditions. The public can collect stamps in a symbolic passport at the diplomatic missions open on this occasion.

According to preliminary data, nearly two thousand people visited the Hungarian Embassy where the programme featured folk dancing performed by members of the local Tisza Dance Ensemble, founded 43 years ago.
