Budapest, April 28 (MTI) – Most recent information shows that a total of 42 Hungarian citizens are still in Nepal and one of them is missing, so the search continues, the foreign minister said on Tuesday.
Peter Szijjarto told public news channel M1 that the missing Hungarian is assumed to be in a safe location. At the same time, he asked all Hungarians to postpose any planned trips to the earthquake-hit region.
The ministry knows of five Hungarians who permanently live in Nepal and are not expected to return to Hungary, the minister said.
A total of 18 Hungarians left Nepal on Monday and the honorary consul in Kathmandu visited the four injured ones who are treated in a church-run hospital. They are in good condition compared to the circumstances, he added.
Szijjarto said an Australian-Hungarian dual citizen was also injured in the quake and would be transported to Australia.
