Hungarian wine sales grow in UK
Bottle Green has increased volume sales of Hungarian wine by 62% in the past year and is now developing its own range to build on the growth, Off Licence News reports.
Off Licence News portal said, It calculated the rise by comparing sales data in 2013 with 2012, and claimed it now accounts for more than half the Hungarian wine sold in the UK.
Pinot Grigio is driving the trend, Hungarian Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc are also said to be increasing in popularity in UK.
Off Licence News portal underlined, Adam Marshall, commercial director at Bottle Green, said: “Consumers are continuing to recognise that Hungary represents excellent quality and value for international grape varieties as well as some delicious”.
