Innovation garage will be opened by Ericsson in Hungary. The Budapest-based technology laboratory will work on important topics for the information industry like cloud-based infrastructure, virtualization, 5G, Internet of things and analytics.
“Ericsson Garage is a great initiative. I think it will be a great place where all the players can cooperate and they can appear with services extending industries on the market” – Chris Mattheisen, CEO of Hungarian Telekom said.
The aim is to create a technological environment where all actors of the networked society can cooperate, including operators, academics, startup companies, stakeholders of other industries and local communities.
The Garage activities will include technology development, prototype development, as well as the organizing of demonstrations for the operators and businesses. One of the first tasks will be the organizing of an innovation event, bringing together startup businesses and operators and the strengthening of the academic cooperation in the fields of cloud and virtualization.
