LMP: Supporting EU-US free trade agreement “treason”

Budapest, July 9 (MTI) – Ruling Fidesz, the opposition Socialists and leftist Democratic Coalition committed “treason” through voicing support in the European Parliament for continuing the free-trade talks between the European Union and the United States, co-leader of green LMP said on Thursday.

“The European Social Democrats and the EPP continue to serve the interests of international capitalists,” Andras Schiffer insisted at his press conference.

He said that the planned free-trade agreement was fully against Hungary’s interests. Schiffer also suggested that Hungary’s upgrading of its sole nuclear plant at Paks with a loan from Russia was a “similar act of treason”.
