Moby takes the stage at Budapest Park this weekend

In just a few days, on August 1, Moby will return to Budapest for the first time in fifteen years. The electronic music icon is currently in the midst of his major European tour, performing at historic venues, legendary festivals, and sold-out shows across the continent- with Budapest Park as the next stop.

The tour kicked off in late June and has already travelled across Europe, combining headline concerts with appearances at some of the continent’s most renowned festivals. Headline shows have taken place in Istanbul, Luxembourg, Belgrade, and the historic Pula Arena, while festival appearances have included Release Athens, Rock Werchter, Montreux Jazz Festival, Bospop, Butterfly Dance, ICÓNICA SANTALUCÍA Sevilla Fest, Mad Cool Festival, Jazz Open Stuttgart, Jazz Open Modena, Colours of Ostrava, PhillGood Festival, and Brighton’s On The Beach Festival.

Audience demand has been extraordinary: the Luxembourg concert sold out weeks in advance, as did the iconic Pula Arena show, followed by a sold-out performance at Brighton’s On The Beach Festival. The tour continues to gather momentum, with upcoming shows in Vilnius, Dresden, London, and Dublin already announced as sold out well ahead of their dates.

Audiences have been gathering for one reason: to experience live the songs that have shaped generations of music lovers. Classics such as Porcelain, Natural Blues, Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?, Lift Me Up, and Extreme Ways remain as powerful as ever, while Moby’s latest album, Future Quiet, reveals a more intimate and contemplative side of his artistry.

Nostalgia and the present

According to the artist himself, however, this tour is not about the new album. As Moby recently explained in an interview, the shows are more like a “Moby Greatest Hits Festival,” where audiences can experience energetic, rave-inspired live performances of his best-known songs in fresh new arrangements. Making the experience even more personal, Moby invited fans on Instagram to help shape the setlist by sharing which songs they would most like to hear performed live. At Budapest Park, nostalgia and the present will come together for one unforgettable evening.

Moby’s return is about more than music.
