Sziget Festival returns to Budapest’s Óbuda Island from 11 to 15 August 2026 for its 31st edition.

The event itself is set to attract more than 500,000 visitors across its full run. It’ll include hundreds of artists across multiple stages, plus art installations, theatre, circus performances, and cultural spaces.

This year, the festival is also introducing a special Day 0 on Monday, August 10. Visitors can expect an opening day with dedicated performances that are more community-focused.

The 2026 Lineup

The lineup at Sziget Festival includes over 300 artists across pop, indie, rock, hip-hop, electronic, and house.

The confirmed headliners are:

• Twenty One Pilots

• Florence + The Machine

• Bring Me The Horizon

• Lewis Capaldi

• Zara Larsson

• Skepta

• Jorja Smith

Beyond the main stage, there are many other well-known artists and bands, such as Wolf Alice, Biffy Clyro, Underworld, Peggy Gou, Dom Dolla, Loyle Carner, Ashnikko, Sigrid, Natasha Bedingfield, Tash Sultana, and TOMORA

What’s Changed from Last Year

A new neighbourhood called Szoho has been added. It has been developed by drawing inspiration from London and New York’s Soho districts.

After criticism that previous editions leaned too much towards international acts, Sziget has partnered with Budapest Park to create a separate Hungarian stage featuring local artists.

Not only this, but many stages have been completely refreshed. The addition of Day 0 gives festival goers an extra day as well.

Sziget also introduced a discounted night ticket. This allows people to enter the festival later in the evening for a lower cost instead of having to buy a full day or sleep ticket.

New Sponsors and Partnerships

Among the festival’s official partners is Revolut. They’ve even done a cross-deal with them called the Revolut Memories Deal, which offers Sziget pass-holders a €20 discount on a 5-day pass plus €20 as a cash reward.

Other sponsorships include Coca-Cola, Bolt, Aperol, Red Bull, Friss, Visa, Wigo, Magyar Bor, Aldi, DrinkIQ, DHL, Yettel, Finlandia, Johnnie Walker, and many others. This just goes to show the sheer size of the Sziget Festival.

One type of sponsor they don’t have yet is a gambling sponsor. A platform that offers casino games, football, and live dealers, like BB Gold, would be a good addition. These deals would comfortably increase revenue for the festival, which can be used for more innovations.

Where to Get Tickets

You can purchase tickets for Sziget 2026 on the official Sziget website. The festival offers day tickets, 3-day passes, full 5-day passes, full 5-day VIP passes, and more. Day tickets start at €99 and full 5-day passes are priced at €309.

Sziget will also be operating with a cashless wristband system via Festipay. This allows visitors to fund their wristbands and use them as a source of payment for the festival. We’ve seen this type of technology at many popular festivals, like Tomorrowland.

For first-time visitors, it’s best to get onto the island by taking the HÉV Line H5 from Batthyány tér. On the day, it’ll also be signposted to help visitors reach their destination.
