Banks will place lots of ATMs in Hungary in line with new parliament decision

Lawmakers approved legislation on expanding the network of ATMs to all Hungarian settlements in parliament on Tuesday.

The bill was passed with a vote of 150 for, 21 against and a single abstention. The law mandates the central bank governor to decide on cost-sharing among banks related to the measure, while the national economy minister will set the pace of the expansion.

  1. People do understand that all of these costs for new machines, support, filling, etc. will be passed on to the account holders, right? Just saying. Easy for Politicians to decide. Well – at least not another Decree. Make it look like they are still involved.
