New direct EasyJet flights to Venice

Airport tourism transport travel

EasyJet is launching new direct flights between Budapest and Venice, one of the most romantic Renaissance cities in the world. From the beginning of the winter season, three weekly flights will be provided by the airline, origo.hu reports.

From October 31, Airbus A320 airplanes will travel between Budapest and the Venice Marco Polo international airport three times a week: on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The flights depart at different times, once in the early morning, once in the early afternoon, and once late at night. Venice is the seventh city which became available from Budapest by EasyJet flights, following London Gatwick, Berlin, Paris, Lyon, Basel, and Geneva.

According to origo.hu, flights are the cheapest in January a return ticket costing HUF 16 027 (approx. EUR 51). This price does not contain baggage fees, which add another HUF 10 660 (approx. EUR 34) to the cost of the flight.

The Irish low-cost airline Ryanair also provides flights to Venice: their planes land at the Treviso airport, located 30 km away from the city. Their cheapest return tickets for August cost HUF 11 630 (approx. EUR 37). Ryanair flies to Venice until October 26, and it is not yet known whether flights will be available later.
