Nativity play by children in the Church of St. Augustine in Csíkszereda
Another important Hungarian Christmas tradition is the Nativity play. This now Christian tradition has roots in old Hungarian paganism and it was intended to bless the homes of people against evil spirits. Another similar old tradition is the regölés.
